An introduction to the Cranial Forum
The Cranial Forum is an independent group formed of lay members and representatives from member Cranial Professional Associations.
We are establishing the foundations for a Cranial regulator, which will be used as a basis of admission for Cranial Therapists to a new Regulator.
The Cranial Forum has identified two options for a new regulator that separates the regulatory function from Professional Associations (PA). Allowing PA’s more time to focus on:
- Cranial research
- Representing Cranial therapy in the media
- Cranial advocacy (promoting and developing the profession)
- Setting and reviewing Cranial standards
- The provision of guidance to both training providers and registrants on CPD
The regulator will focus on the difficult, costly and time-consuming task of ensuring standards are met by therapists and dealing with complaints.
The regulator seeks to regulate practitioners, not to interfere with the therapy itself.
